Dining - For years this area of the Valley of the
Sun was very weak with dining options. Over the last ten to fifteen years
this has clearly changed. Here are some options not to be missed.
Champen Thai Cuisine - 13828 N. 51st Avenue,
Glendale - 602-993-2046 - A reasonably Thai establishment known for its
green papaya salad with shrimp and Chinese eggplant.
Dillon's Restaurant - 20585 N. 59th Ave., Glendale

Murphy's - 5739 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, AZ 623-939-2480. German
fare is king at Haus Murphy's. Bavarian music certain nights along with
jazz. Located in the historical district of Glendale. http://hausmurphys.com/ Maharaja
Palace 5775 W. Bell Road, Glendale, 602-547-1000 - A very upscale (in
terms of fare) Indian establishment. Always highly rated. North
- 20004 N. 67th Ave, Glendale - 623-537-4500 - Excellent Italian fare
that runs contemporary. Also, some outstanding pizza.
Seoul Jung 10040 N. 43rd Ave. Glendale -
623-463-8000. This is the real thing if you are searching Korean dishes.
Make sure you try some of the Korean beers. Touch of
European Cafe - 7146 N. 57th Drive, Glendale - 624-847-7119 - Out of a
cottage, with only five tables offers you Polish meals from the old
country. Try the stuff cabbage and smoked kielbasa Murphy
Park - Donated land over 92 years ago has been the core of a tranquil,
green environment in the center of Glendale. While Glendale has a
population of over 200,000, this park is the thread that perpetuates
Glendale's small town feeling. Summer band concerts and festivals enhances
the park's feeling of community. City

Sahuaro Ranch is just north of downtown Glendale. Datin from
1885 as a homestead, Sahuaro Ranch developed into a large agricultural
center. In 1977, Glendale finalized the purchase of a large section of the
ranch and has continued its development and restoration. There are 17
ranch buildings available to be toured in their restored condition and a
very large rose garden. Numerous events are schedule throughout the year
including an antique tractor show in February. City
