Hotel Sebastian, Quito Ecuador
Nestled away in the Gringolandia area of Quito is a remarkable hotel with 56 rooms. Extremely well appointed and very comfortable. There is an excellent restaurant and bar with a beautiful grand piano in the lobby. Rates are in the 60 dollar range per night. However, when I recently checked in on a Tuesday in October, 2006, I asked if there were any current discounts. I was pleasantly surprised that I received a rate of $45.00. With tax the bill came to $54.90. Taxi to the airport is $5.00. http://www.hotelsebastian.com
