Southern Pulse recently reported that the Ecuadorian police conducted a study indicating there are at least 28,000 unregistered weapons in Ecuador. Estimates are that at least 10,000 handmade guns are produced annually. Chimbo a small town located in the Bolivar province is responsible for much of the production.
