GALAPAGOS - SAILBOAT RUNS AGROUND
Wire reports indicate that the motor operated sailboat, Alta operated by
Quasar Expeditions ran ashore last evening (Wed). Sixteen Canadian tourists and
eight crew members were rescued by the navy and park vessels. According to the
company representative, it is believed that the captain may have been at fault
per newspaper reports. Canadian authorities said all were safe.
