BUS CRASH IN ECUADOR KILLS 38 - ECUADOR - AUGUST 29, 2010
On August 29, 2010, a bus drove off a cliff killing 38 and injuring 12. The bus was en route from Cuenca to Quito when the accident happened about 3:40 am. It was located near Panzaleo which is between Ambato and Latacunga. The bus driver perished and one witness said he fell asleep at the wheel. Other witnesses indicated that when onlookers arrived, looters were removing items from the dead and injured.
