Ecuadorian AEROGAL has added a new route to their system. They are now flying nonstop daily out of New York's JFK airport to Guayaquil. This hopefully will add to the number of seats going to Guayaquil and Ecuador and place some pressure on pricing. The last two years American seems to have much of the business since Continental pulled out of Guayaquil all together.

Specials at this point on Aerogal are published at $547.76 per a newspaper report as a promotional introduction price. In the states they can be reached at 888-7AEROGAL or aerogal.com.ec/. However, a check of their website could not find anything in the price range for January with a one week stay. The round trip ticket was listed for $810.00. Also, a phone call was made to their toll free number at 1:00 am and a recording kept saying the caller "is now first in line".
