SWINE FLU CASE CONFIRMED IN THE GALAPAGOS
Officials have confirmed that a 17 year old male has been confirmed as having the AH1N1 swine flu virus in the Galapagos Islands. He resides in Santa Cruz and has been treated with Tamiflu. There are other suspected cases and 500 doses of Tamiflu have been sent to the islands to combat the illness. There are two fifteen bed hospitals on the islands that have added additional tents in the even other cases are confirmed. To date there have been twenty-four confirmed deaths in Ecuador since the outbreak of the flu. (TRAVEL SAFETY ECUADOR)
