At 6:54 A.M Ecuador time, an earthquake registered at 7.2 per the Instituto Geofisico of Ecuador. It was located at a depth of 238 km at 50 km southeast of Tena in the province of Pastaza. The duration was about 40 seconds and was felt throughout the country. For reference point it was 187 km southeast of Quito. No current reports of injuries or damages.
